NIT and JEE exams have been avoided due to corona virus. HRD Minister wrote in tweet that parents and students have to travel to different examination centers to avoid any inconvenience. I have directed the National Examination Agency (NTA) to postpone the exams of NEET (UG) 2020 and JEE (Maine) till the last week of May. Human Resources and Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted and provided the information.

More than 1.5 lakh examiners applied
It is pertinent to mention that more than 1.5 lakh exams from across the country had applied for the NIT exams and an estimated 9 lakh exams were scheduled to take part in the JEE Main April semester exam. The first was held in the JEE Main January session. The exam is held twice a year. Now JEE Main is scheduled for the first week of April.
